Cable Knit Turtle Neck

nycstreetstyle

You know how I roll turtle necks, turtle necks, turtle necks. I have too many grey ones to count, and I just found another one in my weekender when I prepped laundry on Saturday. We all have that one item we go to on a good day or bad day. A cable knit sweater that covers your neck giving you the option to wear a scarf is genius. When it comes to versatility theres not a lot better than that.

Turtle Neck: Nautica c/o | Pea Coat: Vintage (similar) | Navy Trousers: Tailor4Less c/o | Socks: Topman n/a (these are similar and 3 for $15 ..here, here and here) Shoes: Original Penguin n/a (similar)

In this post I wanted to show you of my favorite ways to wear a turtle neck (this one is from Nautica). There are no rules to wearing a turtle neck but I usually wear it with a longer coat/jacket like this brown corduroy pea coat. Both pieces are killer. The coat is vintage and the shearling collar completes look, similar here. I lifted the collar up just to show off for you guys a bit (but I usually have it down).

As you can see I left the turtle neck part of the sweater up, gives it a more trendier look and also covers my whole neck, remember comfortable over cold. Take a closer look at some fun details like these cool sushi socks or my rolled up navy dress pants.

There are many different ways to wear a turtle neck, the important part is having AT LEAST one. Heres how I wore it with a yellow rain jacket last year: Yellow Rain Jacket & Turtleneck.

  • Would you wear this look?
  • Is there anything else you recommend that I missed?
