Vegas Journal w/ Project Cobalt:
If you’ve been keeping up with me on social you probably saw photos of cool two toned sneakers, printed suits, denim layering pieces and sick fedora hats. Unfortunately I do not own any of these but I got a chance to discover the master minds behind these brands in Vegas. Las Vegas Market week is the most important week of the fashion industry. The tradeshows Liberty, Agenda, Capsule and MAGIC left a big impression on me and lots of inspiration for the upcoming seasons. Still on a natural high from all the amazing brands there. Ive partnered up with Project Cobalt to show you all how important #menswear is and the direction the community is going in. The exclusive partnership also allowed me to spotlight some of the behind the scenes action in Vegas. Thank you all for the best experience this summer!
Before I start with my photo journal I want to share one note to put this whole experience in perspective. Menswear is not just about a full suit and tie, or a polo shirt and boat shoes. What we see now is men who feel more comfortable in what they personally like and wear. We aren’t using popular magazines to dictate what we wear now. We are also experimenting with different trends and figuring out if it works for us or not. A suit will always be a suit but now men are trying out other styles, whether it be athleisure, or very trendy and unstructured pieces. The key to it all is to make the look your own. Brands like Dent De Man challenges guys to wear a full printed suit (which you know is my jam). Its also just as acceptable to wear white tee and silk scarf. Whats relevant is that these are all still quality pieces.

The Scene at Vegas Tradeshows:
Just like mens #NYFW the scene at the Vegas tradeshows were chill. Most guests held lengthy conversations with friends and brands that were there for the first time weren’t afraid to greet everyone who came by. Guests came to connect and not to just follow a strict business agenda. Behind the scenes of the tradeshows were the lively parties held each night. Confetti filled the air at XS night club as RL Grime performed. Tons of guests sing with headliner The Weeknd who hosted our exclusive party at Drais Night Club. If you follow me on Snapchat you saw the action.
Travel + My Stay:
I prefer west coast weather over east coast weather (to my surprise). Theres something to appreciate about both. I landed in Vegas around noon and immediately started documenting. I stayed at The Venetian hotel, right on the Vegas strip. I made a point to do some sight seeing in between shows but couldn’t get past the how beautiful the hotel was and ended up admiring that part for most of my trip. I took about 1000 shots but narrowed it down for you all.
Of course I had to capture what guests wore.
