Now that New York Mens Fashion Week is over I can really look through my content and say that it was a good season. Even Bill Nye The Science Guy got in on the photo action at the shows (see Nick Graham tab). Last weeks shows proved to us that #menswear is still on the rise and brands are creating new ideas and experiences for their audience. Some presentations made you feel like you were on a farm, a garden and even a heavy metal concert.

I can clearly identify 4 trends that stood out to me during the shows. Many shows were trendy and over the top, some very low key.  Keep an eye out for the trends below and see if you can spot them all. See anything you like in particular? Let me know which you think were executed best.

4 trends that stood out during the shows:

  1. Turtle Neck
  2. Neutrals
  3. Burgundy/Red
  4. Monochrome

My favorite look out of this post is the burgundy look by John Elliott towards the beginning. He always puts together great looks in neutral tones like grey, so I’m a huge fan of stepping outside of that box to create something like this. I love where menswear is going too..its more of an ‘experience’ than ever. Hopefully Francis and I will see you at NYFWM one day soon!

  • Monochromatic looks were definitely one of the things that stood out to me. It looks like menswear is becoming more relaxed so it makes sense that color stories are more straight forward as well. Awesome pics btw! I’m excited to see how you incorporate some of these trends into your looks

    • Agreed! Thanks for reading Francis. Loving the relaxed vibes you mentioned.
